Withdrawal and the like

I'm stuck with a terrible hangover. Yet, not a drop of alcohol was consumed. Its been three days since SMC MUN, the Facebook activity has not slowed down and the withdrawal symptoms are not going anywhere.

The MUN for me was two months of frantic running around, dealing with all the administrative protocol that seems to be the bane of my existence that culminated in three days of frantic running around :) But it was all worth it.

Anyone who knows me will probably be rolling their eyes thinking, 'So you're a workaholic, of course it was worth it. What else is new?' But thats the thing. SMC MUN would have been just another event in my schedule but what made it so special was the feedback it recieved. SO much warmth and affection from everywhere and so much appreciation for a first time event.

What I treasure most is that I've met people that I've come to respect in so many ways. P, for taking an idea and turning it into what I hope is the first of our successes for the year. And for navigating through all that you had to in every way. S, for sticking it through with her. A, for dealing so efficiently with Sr.H and being so incredibly modest about it. S and D, for those countless emails you replied to, all the student affairs you dealt with. N, for being a brilliant delegate and working so dedicatedly on sponsorship. S, hospitable hospitality Murgi. And of course, R and T.

My Union, for ever ensuring that the Union Room is a place that I know I can unwind and chill and be a reciepient of all the hugs and love I need and also get my alone time. It is astounding to me that after barely five months together we gel so well. You guys are incredibly brilliant. Fly High indeed <3

N, Vanuatu will always be dear to me and I'm so proud of you. Thank you for being such an incredible friend. Your are probably the only person in the entire world who can say, 'You cant lie to me' and mean it. You're the only one who can see through it everytime. I love you. Just knowing you're around makes me feel better all the time.

H, USA provided me so much amusement and fueled so much gossip :D Only you can make me want to sit and gossip with you. Even though you failed miserably in your personal agenda I still heart you. And congrats :)

I also met some brilliant people and I'm so glad :) I'm cynical about my ability to keep in touch with people in general but I hope this time will be different. CanadaChild who thinks I'm a hippie, Post-It boy, China who joins me in FaceBook Spamming aforementioned Post-It boy, India who plans theatre with me :)

I mis SMC MUN, but yes, I'm already making lists for the next event. Not to mention for events in January + GRE + TOEFL + Applications + College in General.

XOXO
D

Ah well...thats a long tale...simply put,it's a moniker much lovingly bestowed...enough,to let people get away with thinking you're a bloodthirsty, 20 iq point-ed,humans-are-yummy snacks kinda bloke...plus,real convenient when you don't get stuff!

Haha...thats what everyone's in it for,ainnit!? :P
